Derbyshire County Council update
Responsibility for the National Child Measurement Programme, which involves the annual measurement of the height and weight of children in Reception Class and Year 6 has recently been passed to Derbyshire County Council as part of their responsibility for delivering public health services.
Parents will receive a letter to obtain their consent and have an option to opt out.

Winter conditions
The Parish Council would like to advise residents that Derbyshire County Council provides 24 hour cover to respond to weather conditions. They tend to pre-treat before bad weather hits, with the priority being A roads, heavily used B roads and major bus routes. Snow information, school closures and tips on how to keep warm are all available on the Derbyshire County Council's website.
