A large amount of fly tipping was discovered in the John Flamsteed Memorial Park on Thursday, 19th March 2020.

The rubbish dumped was mainly used animal bedding/shavings and animal excrement.

If anyone witnessed this incident, please contact the Parish Council.

Should you come across any fly tipping, remember:

Never touch the waste - it may contain syringes, broken glass, asbestos, toxic chemicals or other hazardous substances

Never disturb the site - there may be evidence that could help identify the fly tippers and lead to their prosecution

FLY TIPPING IS A CRIME

If you Fly-tip you could be fined £50,000 or spend 12 months in prison.
