Denby Parish Council is responsible for maintaining The Spinney, an area of land in Denby Village off Lady Lane.
It is retained for recreational use.
The John Flamsteed Memorial Park located in Denby Village opposite the church, is dedicated to Flamsteed, the first Astronomer Royal in 1646, who was born in Denby.
The park is maintained by Denby Parish Council.
The Drury-Lowe Millennium Green sits quietly at the junction of Derby Road and Station Road on an area of land gifted to the Parish by the Drury-Lowe family.
A charitable trust was created to manage the Green for and on behalf of the residents of Denby Parish as a green space.
A board of trustees was appointed. Support is given by Denby Parish Council in the form of an annual grant.
